Toddlers stage
A child that crawls will only raise their hands and laugh hard in happiness when they are excited but the moment they can stand and hold unto things, they beat the table or chair in happiness and jump as much as they can even though their feet will never leave the ground because they are aware that the chair or table is their third leg making it possible for them to stand.
Toddlers traits
As they advance in age and growth, they begin to stand on their own, take a step after the other, jump independently and full of energy. In the second year of a toddler, they begin to move around, the more disturbing, playing and catching fun and may also damage anything their hands touch because of the freedom of finally moving around.
They become conscious of their environments in an upgraded manner, they approach people, objects and their desire to touch, feel and even eat everything is leveled up.
They can see themselves and recognize themselves when they stand in front of mirrors and even move to see fascinating scenes of how their images move along with them, it’s also a form of play for them.
At this age, they imitate sounds, behaviors and movement they see and they also pronounce names of people they are familiar with in the best way they can, objects names are not left behind and they can also express themselves in few phrases or sentences.
Parenting your toddler at play
Parents should be aware of this stage and judiciously use the period to foster positive brain development. Developing the brains of toddlers through slow and steady could be challenging though but means a lot in lifelong learning.
Kindly, don’t force them into learning! it really not the best approach.
Toddlers will want to play either by themselves or with others more than sitting and listening to you read books to them in the name of teaching or developing their brains.
Playbase learning toddlers
Due to the desire to teach toddlers how to be sharp, be fast thinkers, I mean grow them positively, playbase learning was invented, put to test and the results collected shows that one can groom a genius or brilliant child right from when they are babies.
But, since’ babies can’t talk or move by themselves, and not until they can, these things begin to manifest as soon as they are aware of their environments and surroundings, which is the toddler stage.
Fact is your child learn while playing directly or indirectly because pictures, videos and what they see remains in the memory for a long time and the brain being the unique organ it is will take whatever it is fed, process it and try to bring out another useful product or thinking with it.
Funny enough, brain doesn’t discern if it is evil or good, it just does its job in processing the information, only the mind tries to filter; meaning separate whatever is going on in the brain and discern through the conscience.
For example, a child who only witness crime every week or even month will only register them and the strategies in his/her brain. The brain will try to process more creative ways in which the child can commit crime as the child grows. The child might even end up better than the person they learnt it from. But, if the child’s mind is fed with the right information and encounters, the brain can take a turn around through the help of the conscience.
